No need to wish upon a star because St. Patrick’s Day is upon us!

The holiday synonymous with luck takes place on March 17, just a few days after the powerful blood moon on March 15.

According to celebrity astrologer Kyle Thomas, there will be extra astrological significance on St. Patrick’s Day because of the cosmic effects radiating in the universe the days following the lunation.

“The energy of this eclipse will dominate all events near this time,” he tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“Since eclipses trigger destined and fated situations – and can be highly emotional – major events could be taking place near this time,” he adds of the total lunar eclipse. “But there could also be lucky and surprise breakthroughs near this time.”

March 17, specifically, will place an “added focus on the past” for all zodiac signs in relation to relationships, situations or conversations. This is due to two planetary retrogrades, Venus (our planet of pleasure and love) and Mercury (our planet of the mind).

Also called a retrograde storm, Thomas says the planets’ direction chance may prompt “confusion” throughout the entire weekend. “Triple-check plans or go with the flow. Also, be open to cancellations and revised itineraries.”

Read on for what the stars have in store for your zodiac sign on St. Patrick’s Day this year, according to celebrity astrologer Kyle Thomas’ readings.

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Aries.

Prepare to be busy, Aries! While you’ll be eager to cut loose and have some fun, Thomas says “there’s some pressure placed on you from work.”

However, he predicts that the weekend ahead could bring “a touch of magic” to your significant partnerships if you’re able to finish a big project early. “Some might be reconnecting with particular people, or specifically, a sweetheart from the past.”

Taurus (April 19-May 20)

Taurus.

Feel the love this St. Patrick’s Day, Taurus! “Major situations around your passions and romantic life could be here for you,” predicts Thomas.

“This could be one of the best periods in the year for singles to find someone new, meet a soulmate or make sweet promises with the darling at their side.”

Gemini (May 20-June 20)

Gemini.

Fun awaits, Gemini! “You’re still the luckiest zodiac sign of all, so live it up!” Thomas insists.

“See where the universe takes you this weekend. It could be the best time to reconnect with old pals or a sweetheart from the past,” he says. “On Monday, though, note there’s more of a focus on getting back to work.”

Cancer (June 20-July 22)

Cancer.

Depending on your vibe, Cancer, you may want to party on St. Patrick’s Day or lie low instead.

“Some may even feel the desire to have a gathering at your residence this weekend rather than being out and about,” says Thomas. “An important moment with a friend, sibling or neighbor could also pop up near this time.”

Leo (July 22-Aug. 22)

Leo.

Gold coins could be flowing this St. Patrick’s season, Leo! “Money could surely be coming in and going out,” says Thomas.

“You’re going to want to watch your budget around the holiday, so don’t ring up that bar tab too high,” he adds. “There’s an added flair around friendships and travel near this time, too. You could mix with some of your favorite crew or meet a romantic option through a pal.”

Virgo (Aug. 22-Sept. 22)

Virgo.

The spotlight is on you, Virgo! “You’re going to notice that a lot of people are paying attention to you near this time,” predicts Thomas.

“A big win or emotional state of mind could be the reason for this,” he explains. “Destined events are certainly popping up near this time so trust your gut on anything it is telling you.”

Libra (Sept. 22-Oct. 22)

Libra.

Take a breather, Libra. Despite the fun of the holiday, Thomas predicts you might “feel the need to sit this one out.”

Perhaps it’s your “work” load, he puts forth, or simply you’re just “tired” instead. “People or partners from the past may also pop up this weekend.”

Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21)

Scorpio.

Fun celebrations and big events could be on your calendar, Scorpio! “You’ll be feeling especially popular,” Thomas says.

“This is a magic moment to circulate with pals, acquaintances and new connections. However, be aware that a big situation with a friend could put a little bit of a damper on things at this time,” he continues.

Fortunately, Thomas says some may “attract a platonic soulmate connection” around this holiday.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22–Dec. 21)

Sagittarius.

Feel like a kid again, Sagittarius! “You could be eager to ignite those butterflies or cut loose like you did in college,” says Thomas.

“People from the past may cross your path, or you may be the one who decides to go over or reach out,” he puts forth. “If you’re able to polish off work priorities early, you may be able to use some PTO on Monday and Tuesday!”

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)

Capricorn.

Prepare for fun, Capricorn! “You and your partner in crime could be on a mission,” says Thomas.

If single, he predicts you could notice “an added focus on finding someone with LTR potential.” He adds, “Consider participating in activities that are different from your typical routine and try meeting new people outside of your social circle.”

Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)

Aquarius.

Your heart glitters like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, Aquarius! “You could get that lucky strike,” Thomas puts forth.

“This is a dazzling period to mix and mingle, prioritize your love life or just have a blast,” he says. “You will really like reconnecting with places you used to haunt, too, so check out that old bar or city you once visited. Old friends and pals would be happy to see you!”

Pisces (Feb. 18-March 20)

Pisces.

Focus, Pisces. “Intensity around relationship will be spotlit this St. Patrick’s Day,” predicts Thomas.

“Some of you could decide to take the next steps around the holiday or instead go separate ways,” he adds. “This year will add glitter to your world if you host for family or friends at your residence. It’d be a memorable moment for all.”
