ANTIPOLO CITY—Booking a reservation to the semifinals has turned quite into an obsession for the Creamline Cool Smashers.

They earned another return trip on Saturday evening by walloping the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-22, in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All Filipino Conference.

ANTIPOLO — Brooke Van Sickle’s birthday wish was for Petro Gazz to give its best effort in Game 2 of its PVL quarterfinals series against ZUS Coffee on Saturday.

Playing like a well-oiled machine, the Angels delivered, responding with a resounding sweep, 25-19, 25-13, 28-26, following a lethargic series-opening loss.

ANTIPOLO CITY—Petro Gazz refused to simply fall out of the sky and blasted ZUS Coffee, 25-19, 25-13, 28-26, on Saturday to push their quarterfinal encounter to the limit in the PVL All Filipino Conference.

Brooke Van Sickle torched the Thunderbelles with a variety of hits and finished with 17 points built around 15 attacks as the Angels survived the make-or-break affair that could send them packing out of the conference.

Nowhere in the discussion of possible title contenders in the PVL All-Filipino Conference was ZUS Coffee ever mentioned.

The Thunderbelles are poised to rewrite that narrative if they can close out the Petro Gazz Angels in their Saturday quarterfinal clash at Ynares Center in Antipolo.
