Many politicians have been speaking out after conservative commentator and Turning Point USA leader Charlie Kirk was tragically shot at an event held in Utah on Wednesday (September 10).

Hours later, President Donald Trump was one of the first to confirm that the 31-year-old did not survive his injuries and sadly died.

Since the news of the shooting, many politicians and world leaders have taken to social media to share thoughts and prayers, and condemn gun violence.

Former President Joe Biden tweeted out, “There is no place in our country for this kind of violence. It must end now. Jill and I are praying for Charlie Kirk’s family and loved ones.”

Current Vice President JD Vance shared a screenshot of Trump‘s post and wrote, “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.”

Charlie sadly leaves behind a wife and two young kids. Our thoughts go out to his entire family during this difficult time.
