Lithuania vs Germany Game Player Stats and Box Score for Aug. 30
August 30, 2025 | by ltcinsuranceshopper
Germany, the reigning FIBA World Cup Champions, has taken control of Group B of the 2025 EuroBasket following a 107-88 win over Lithuania. The trio of Franz Wagner, Dennis Schroder and Daniel Theis was too much for Jonas Valanciunas and company.
Wagner finished with 24 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals, while Schroder had a game-high 26 points after knocking down five 3-point shots. Theis added 23 points and six rebounds, with Andreas Obst scoring all of his 15 points from beyond the arc.
On the other hand, Valanciunas only had 14 points and four rebounds due to being in foul trouble. Rokas Jokubaitis had a team-high 20 points, plus three rebounds and seven assists. Lithuania played well offensively, but their defense couldn’t stop Germany’s 3-point shooting, and they couldn’t take care of the ball.

Lithuania vs. Germany Game Summary
It’s Day 4 of the 2025 EuroBasket, with Lithuania vs Germany among the matchups scheduled in Group B in Cyprus. Both teams are 2-0 entering Saturday’s game and looking to take control of the group. Lithuania and Germany remain flawless after their first two games.
Coach Rimas Kurtinaitis used a starting five featuring Margiris Normantas, Rokas Jokubaitis, Gytis Radzevicius, Tadas Sedekerskis and Jonas Valanciunas. They dominated in their first two games against Great Britain and Montenegro.
On the other hand, coach Alex Mumbru went with a starting lineup consisting of Dennis Schroder, Andreas Obst, Franz Wagner, Johannes Voightmann and Daniel Theiss. Just like Lithuania, the Germans were cruising in their first two wins over Montenegro and Sweden.
The game started pretty evenly in the first seven minutes of the first quarter before Germany went on a 17-5 run to earn a 32-20 lead entering the second period. They kept Lithuania at bay throughout the contest, with 3-point shooting and defense as their main weapon.
The reigning FIBA World Cup champions made 19 shots from beyond the arc and had 14 steals. They forced a total of 18 turnovers, which halted Lithuania’s efforts to make runs. Lithuania didn’t have a bad game offensively since they went to the free-throw line 21 times and were very aggressive on the end. They just couldn’t do anything with Germany’s hot shooting.
With their win, Germany improved to 3-0 in the 2025 EuroBasket and are on the driver’s seat heading into the Knockout Rounds.
