In 1991, Young and Restless‘s Nina Webster Kimble (Tricia Cast) shot her murderous husband, David Kimble, five times. The louse had romanced her in an effort to get his hands on the fortune left to her by her then-thought-to-be-deceased husband, Phillip Chancellor III, and despite the concerns voiced by those in her life, she eloped with him. David plotted to kill her for the money, and when Nina eventually discovered her “loving” husband’s true colors, she snapped, unloading bullets into him. Nina was tried for the shooting and acquitted by a jury.

In 1995 on General Hospital, Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) gave birth to her second daughter with ex-husband Frisco Jones, a beautiful baby girl named Georgie. Tony Jones (Brad Maule), the baby’s paternal uncle, was forced to deliver his niece under unusual circumstances when Felicia went into labor at Luke’s blues club! Georgie was born under a table at the Port Charles hotspot; mom and baby were then taken to the hospital.

In 1997, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) made love in the cave they were trapped in on General Hospital. Sonny’s former right-hand man, Harry Silver, who had gone off the deep end, kidnapped Brenda and took her to the catacombs, then lured Sonny there. Harry held them at gunpoint and revealed that there was a bomb in the cave. Sonny and Harry struggled over the gun and Harry was fatally wounded, but before taking his last breath, he detonated the explosive, sealing Sonny and Brenda inside. As their oxygen supply began to dwindle, Sonny and Brenda’s emotional heart-to-heart led to lovemaking. They were eventually rescued, and Brenda concealed from Jax (who she was with at the time) that she had been intimate with Sonny.

In 2005 on Young and Restless, Drucilla (Victoria Rowell) and Malcolm (Shemar Moore) got definitive proof that he was the biological father of her daughter, Lily. Drucilla was devastated when she read the DNA test results, as she had fervently desired to find out that Neil (her husband and Malcolm’s brother) was the bio dad. “I’m sorry, Dru,” said Malcolm. Dru lamented, “Ever since she was a baby, even before she was born, I always believed in my heart and soul that she was Neil’s child.” Mused Malcolm, “That beautiful girl… that wonderful smile, the light in her eyes — it makes sense now.” Dru asked him what he meant, and Malcolm clarified, “That unbelievable pull I’ve felt towards her ever since I got back. It must have been fate.” Snapped Dru, “Shut up! How can you be thinking about yourself? Do you not care about how your brother and Lily feels, what it’s gonna do to them?”

In 2014, Days of Our Lives‘s Marlena (Deidre Hall) angrily confronted her estranged husband, John (Drake Hogestyn), when he suddenly resurfaced in Salem after leaving town without a proper good-bye. “In the last year, I’ve gotten one email from you and three from your attorney,” she reminded him. He defended himself, saying, “With the divorce coming, I thought that’s the way you wanted it.” Marlena replied, “When it comes to you, nothing that happened between us was what I wanted. Not for a very long time.”
