Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman Winters): Ordway, who has been on recurring status with the show since late 2024, confirmed last week that she was back in Genoa City filming scenes as Victor’s (Eric Braeden) daughter and Devon’s (Bryton James) wife. On Instagram, she wrote, “Abby’s back in #GenoaCity for a couple episodes with her Newman and Winters families ✨🎬 #yr @youngandrestlesscbs.”

Galen Gering (Arnold): Since the jig is up for that scoundrel doppelganger of Rafe’s, Gering will no longer be doing double duty on the soap. Check out what Cherie Jimenez will miss about working opposite Gering as Arnold here.

Felicia Minei Behr, the two-time Daytime Emmy-winning executive producer (for her time at All My Children in 1992 and 1994), passed away at the age of 83. On Facebook, her daughters Kristina Behr Miller and Francesca Behr, wrote, “We are writing on behalf of our mom, Felicia. She passed away peacefully on March 2nd surrounded by loved ones. We appreciate the love and support you have given our family over the last 5 years as she battled brain cancer.”

Minei Behr grew up on Long Island, NY and attended Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School. Her first job in the industry was as a secretary at CBS in 1960. She was also a production assistant on ABC Stage 67 in 1966. Other shows she worked on included The Jackie Gleason ShowThe Ed Sullivan Show and The Garry Moore Show. In 1970, she helped to launch AMC as an associate producer, a position she held until 1975. In 1982, she joined Ryan’s Hope as a producer, eventually becoming the genre’s first female executive producer in 1988, staying until 1989. That same year she moved back to AMC as its executive producer, a position she held for seven years. When she left the show in 1996, she was quickly hired as the EP of As The World Turns. In 2000, the year after she exited ATWT, Minei Behr became Senior Vice President of ABC Daytime, overseeing all of their soaps and The View, remaining through 2004.

In discussing her time playing Ceara on AMC, Genie Francis (Laura, GH) told Soap Opera Digest in 2011, “Every day on that show was a joy. I had the best time ever. I loved my producer, Felicia Minei Behr.” Dondre T. Whitfield, who played Terrence on AMC, sang Minei Behr’s praises to Digest in 2012, recalling, “Felicia would always say to [Whitfield and Kelly Ripa, ex-Hayley], ‘You guys really cannot stay here. You’re going to be too big for this. You’re going to have to leave here.’ At the time, I was like, ‘Is that a compliment, or are you telling us you don’t want us here?’ But it was really a compliment. When you get a three-year contract as an actor, you become very comfortable, and it’s really easy to become a lifer. She was basically telling us, ‘Listen, don’tg et comfortable here, because your journey is not meant to stop here.’ I will never forget that and I was always grateful for that.” In 2016, Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo, AMC) also praised Minei Behr to Digest, saying, “I was just a nobody from Tampa, and if it wasn’t for Judy Blye Wilson [former casting director], who plucked me out of nowhere, and Felicia Minei Behr, I would not be talking to you.”

James Houghton, most known for his role as Kenny Ward on Knots Landing and originating the role of Greg Foster on Y&R, died at the age of 75 on August 27, 2024 of peritoneal mesothelioma. His wife, Karen, hadn’t been able to speak of his passing until recently. He was also a Daytime Emmy-winning writer four times over for his work on Y&R. He also wrote for DAYS and B&B during his distinguished career. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Daniel and Alisa; his mother, Wanda, and his sister, Mona; and a grandson, Milo.

Michelle Trachtenberg, who appeared on AMC as Lily Benson Montgomery, passed away on February 26 at the age of 39. For more details, click here.
