All About Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s 2 Daughters, Sunday and Faith

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban welcomed two daughters together before their split in 2025.

The Babygirl actress and the country singer got married in June 2006 after meeting at the G’Day USA gala one year earlier. In January 2008, Kidman — who was already a mom to daughter Isabella and son Connor, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise — and Urban confirmed they were expecting their first child together. Sunday Rose was born in July 2008 and became a big sister when the family welcomed Faith Margaret in December 2010.

During a May 2025 conversation with Allure, Kidman told the outlet she is “very close” with her teenage daughters. “I get to be their guide,” she said.

A few months later, a source confirmed to PEOPLE on Sept. 29 that Kidman and Urban had called it quits after 19 years of marriage, though the actress “didn’t want this.” The insider added that amid the split, the “entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”

Sunday and Faith were born in Nashville

On July 7, 2008, Kidman and Urban welcomed daughter Sunday Rose in Nashville. Their family expanded on Dec. 28, 2010, when they welcomed Faith Margaret, who was born in Nashville through a gestational surrogate.

“Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret,” the family said in a statement a few weeks later, when they confirmed the news. “No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier.”

In 2016, Kidman told PEOPLE that her daughters are “Nashvillians.”

“They have a southern drawl,” the actress explained. “They have some Aussie. They have an unusual mix. They’re hybrids.”

During an August 2025 conversation with NYLON, Sunday said it was “nice to grow up in more of a small town than a small city.”

“I will have time to experience that in life, whether it’s during college or later, so I like that I’ve gotten to grow up in a city that has a bit of a slower pace,” she said.

Their names have special meanings

Kidman’s father first suggested Sunday’s name in honor of the Australian patron of the arts, Sunday Reed, and the couple were on board, given they’ve claimed the day as their favorite of the week.

Meanwhile, Faith’s middle name — Margaret — comes from Kidman’s grandmother.

They are rising models

Kidman and Urban’s daughters have begun making their mark in the modeling industry, with Sunday making her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week in October 2024 and Faith having starred in a beauty ad alongside her mother in June 2025.

During her conversation with NYLON, Sunday opened up about her rising modeling career, explaining that although she has “always loved” fashion, it was getting to “observe” Kidman’s photo shoots as a kid that led to her “interest in exploring the modeling world.”

She also shared that there were “two big rules” set by her parents before entering the industry.

“The first was that I couldn’t explore any kind of fashion work until I was 16, and the second is that school always has to come first, which at first I hated, but I am actually really glad that I have these rules in place because it keeps me in a good mindset,” Sunday said.

They were extras in Big Little Lies

Kidman has appeared in dozens of shows and films over the years — and sometimes her daughters have made cameos!

Sunday and Faith were extras in season 2 of Kidman’s hit HBO series, Big Little Lies, where they appeared in a classroom scene.

“You see them fleetingly in the classroom scenes,” Kidman said during a May 2019 appearance on Good Morning America. “There’s something wonderful about bringing your children to work, and them seeing what you do, and them being a part of it, and being interested and curious and feeling like it’s theirs as well.”

They made their film debut when they voiced baby birds in 2019’s The Angry Birds Movie 2.

Sunday wants to be a filmmaker

Though she’s spent the last few years growing her modeling career, Sunday has a different long-term career goal: filmmaking.

“Filmmaking has actually been my dream career since I was 5, so I hope I’m able to study that in college,” she told NYLON.

She noted that one of the movies that inspired her filmmaking dream is 2019’s Parasite, which she’s watched “at least four times.”

For now, she’s busy supporting her mom’s film career. In March 2025, she accompanied Kidman to the screening of her film Holland and wrote on Instagram that she was “so proud” of her “mama.”

They’ve been ‘inseparable’ with Kidman amid her split from Urban

On Sept. 29, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Kidman and Urban had separated.

“It really hasn’t been a secret in their circles that Keith and Nicole have been living separately for a while now,” the source added. “People close to Keith felt like the split was kind of inevitable.”

Just one month before the news went public, Kidman shared several snapshots on Instagram from her summer with Sunday and Faith, including photos from a vacation and music festival.

“Summer memories ❤️ Now back to school ✨,” she captioned the carousel.

At the time, a source close to the family told PEOPLE that Kidman, Sunday and Faith “have been inseparable” all summer.

“While Keith has been away on tour all summer, Nicole and her daughters have been inseparable, spending time together bonding,” the insider said in August 2025. “Now the focus is back to school in Nashville, where Nic has been getting the girls ready for the new year.”
