National Coffee Day 2025: Where to get your freebies, deals & discounts

Every year, American java enthusiasts of all stripes celebrate National Coffee Day on September 29th, which this year falls on a Monday. International Coffee Day comes just two days later on October 1st, which this year falls on a Wednesday.

With 66% of Americans drinking coffee at least once a day, cafes, convenience stores, coffee companies, and other brands jump at the chance to promote their coffee-related products to this massive consumer base with freebies, deals, or discounts on or before National and International Coffee Days.

Here, we round up all of the Coffee Day deals we were able to confirm. 

Some of these freebies and discounts begin before the actual holiday, while others are available for some time after, so readers can “pour over” this list and plan out their caffeinated couponing crusades for late September and beyond.

Confirmed National Coffee Day deals and freebies for 2025

These National (and International) Coffee Day giveaways and deals are definitely happening this year and have been confirmed by the brands involved. Deals are listed alphabetically by brand. 

7-Eleven

7Rewards members can grab a free large coffee with any sandwich purchase through October 29th, either via the app or by entering their phone number at checkout. 

Aeropress

This year, AeroPress, maker of the iconic portable air-pressure-based coffee maker, is celebrating Coffee Day with a debut and a deal. On September 28th, the company is launching two new colorway options—black and white—for its glass and metal AeroPress Premium. Additionally, on September 28th and 29th, online shoppers can grab any AeroPress premium model (silver, black, or white) for 10% off.

Atlas Coffee Club

Atlas Coffee Club customers can score a free 12-oz package of coffee with the purchase of a subscription using promo code FREECOFFEEDAY at checkout September 29th through October 1st. 

Biggby Coffee

Biggby is discounting all 16-oz hot and iced coffees to just $1 on September 29th in celebration of National Coffee Day.

Burger King

Royal Perks members who order through the app can score a free medium iced coffee with any purchase of a dollar or more on September 29th.

Cafe Aroma

To celebrate National Coffee Day, family-owned and Cuban immigrant-founded espresso brand Cafe Aroma is offering customers 20% off all products in its webstore on September 29th. Just enter promo code COFFEEDAY at checkout. Additionally, the first 50 customers to purchase a package of Cafe Roma Especial (a premium whole bean espresso blend) will also get a free Cafe Aroma hat.

CC’s Coffee House

My CC’s Rewards members can grab a free cold brew or hot coffee on the 29th—no purchase required.

Clean Juice 

Clean juice is discounting its 16-oz Coffee One smoothie from $7.99 to $5.99 on National Coffee Day. 

DoorDash

DoorDash customers can redeem $6 off their Dunkin’ order on National Coffee Day. 

Dunkin’

Dunkin’ Rewards members can celebrate the occasion with a free medium coffee—hot or iced—with any purchase. Just be sure to order through the Dunkin’ app before pulling up to your nearest location to collect your order.

Additionally, on National Coffee Day, customers who order Dunkin’ through DoorDash can claim $6 off their order. 

Dunn Brothers Coffee

Customers who visit a Dunn Brothers location on the 29th can grab a free small coffee—no purchase required. 

EG-America

Customers with a SmartRewards account can score a free hot or iced coffee through the app at any of the following stores: Cumberland Farms, Turkey Hill, Fastrac, Minit Mart, Kwik Shop, Loaf n’ Jug, Certified Oil, Quik Stop, andTom Thumb. 

Einstein Bros. Bagels 

Einstein Bros Rewards members can grab a free hot or iced coffee (any size) with any purchase made via the app or website. 

Frutta Bowls 

On September 29th, Frutta Bowls customers can use promo code COFFEE25 in-store, online, or in the app to get a free 16-oz cold brew with any purchase of $9.99 or more. 

Grubhub

If you’re a Grubhub+ user, you can redeem $7 off any Starbucks order of $20 or more on September 29th only. 

Hawaii Coffee Company

Shop Hawaii Coffee Company online using code COFFEEWEEK2025 to get 20% off all orders and $5 shipping (U.S. only) on any order of $29 or more. The code is valid through October 1st. 

Honey Dew

Honey Dew, a regional donut chain with locations across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, is offering customers any size hot or iced coffee for just $2 when they order through the Honey Dew app on September 29th.

Huddle House

Restaurant chain Huddle House is offering customers who dine in a free coffee with the purchase of any meal from September 28th to October 3rd.

Jack in the Box

Jack Pack rewards members can score a free hot coffee when they purchase any Breakfast Jack order on the 29th. 

Keurig

Keurig is offering several promotions during and leading up to National Coffee Day, and each one works a little differently:

• COFFEEDAYBLISS can get you 25% off certain coffee makers, beverages, and other items, even before the 29th. 
• COFFEEDAY25 can get you 20% off certain coffee makers and 30% off certain accessories, even before the 29th.
• COFFEEDAYFLASH can get you 50% off eligible items on the 29th only.

Klatch Coffee

Redeem an in-app offer on National Coffee Day to grab a free Competition Cappuccino at any Klatch location. While you’re there on the 29th, scan the in-store QR code to receive a free Comp Cap at all new Klatch locations being opened in 2025 or 2026. 

Krispy Kreme 

On the 29th, head to your local Krispy Kreme for a free donut and a free medium iced or hot coffee—no purchase necessary. Also, from the 27th through the 29th, if you buy a dozen glazed donuts, you can grab a second dozen for just $1. 

La Madeleine

La Madeleine is offering Bonjour Rewards members a free regular-sized coffee with any food purchase, online or in-store, on the 29th.

OH LA LA (Pasadena, CA) 

On International Coffee Day (October 1st), Pasadena, CA, residents can head to OH LA LA to try one of the cafe’s two new coffee drinks—the Cloud Espresso, a refreshing mix of tonic, fresh lime juice, and espresso ($6), or the Shaken Espresso, made with espresso and the café’s house-made elderflower syrup ($8)—and get a free Espresso Choux pastry while supplies last.

Paris Baguette

PB Rewards members can head to their nearest Paris Baguette location to grab a free hot or iced coffee with any purchase from September 27th through 29th.

Peet’s Coffee

Peetnik Rewards members have through September 30th to buy a Cold Brew Pass for $30. This pass gets you a free medium cold brew every day for the next 30 days (limit one per day; rewards do not roll over). 

Pilot Travel Centers

MyRewardsPlus members can redeem an in-app coupon on the 29th to get a free hot coffee of any size.

Playa Bowls

Playa Bowls is offering Playa Rewards members buy-one-get-one-free 20 oz Playola Cold Brews and Sweet Cream Cold Brews on September 29th only.

Pret a Manger

Pret a Manger customers can start their National Coffee Day off at their nearest Pret location with any free barista-made coffee—including the new Cinammon Swirl Latte pictured above—when they order on the app. 

Scooters Coffee

From September 27th through 29th, Scooters customers can redeem an in-app promotion for a free medium coffee (limit one per customer per day). The first 100 customers at each location on the 29th will also get a free National Coffee Day Sticker. 

Sheetz

My Sheetz Rewards members can redeem an in-app promotion for a free hot or iced coffee with purchase from September 29th through October 1st. Some purchases—like gas, cigarettes, and prepaid phone cards—do not count for this promotion. 

Shipley Do-Nuts

Shipley loyalty members can grab a free cold-brew donut or original glazed donut with the purchase of any coffee on September 29th. The cold-brew donut, which contains 56 mg of caffeine, is debuting on September 26th and will only be available for two weeks through October 10th. 

Smoothie King

Smoothie King customers can snag a free 20-oz Coffee High Protein Almond Mocha or Pumpkin Coffee High Protein Smoothie until 10:30 a.m. on the 29th when they show their Starbucks, Dunkin (or other coffee chain) rewards account at checkout. 

Starbucks

By redeeming an offer in their app, Starbucks Rewards members can score 100 bonus stars (enough for a free drink up to $7) when they order a hot or iced coffee from September 25th through 29th.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

On September 28th, rewards members who buy any beverage through the app can get another beverage of equal or lesser value for free between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. Then, on the 29th, members who order through the app can choose any large beverage for just $5 all day long.

Verena Street Coffee

Through the 29th, all bagged coffee is 25% off at Verena Street Coffee webstore. 

Village Inn

Village Inn rewards members can redeem an offer in the app to grab one free coffee per day at Village Inn through September 30th. 

Voodoo Doughnut 

From 6 a.m. to noon this National Coffee Day, Voodoo customers can grab a free cup of coffee with any purchase. 12-oz bags of Magic Roast are also 20% in-store and online.

Whataburger

Whataburger customers can score a free hot or iced coffee (including flavored coffees) on the 29th in celebration of National Coffee Day—no purchase necessary. 

Ziggi’s Coffee

This National Coffee Day, Ziggi’s customers can buy a 16-oz hot coffee, iced coffee, or cold brew for just a buck.
