11 Lululemon Staples, According to Yoga Instructors and Students
March 25, 2025 | by ltcinsuranceshopper

As a yoga instructor, I’ve learned the job requires a few essentials, such as breathable clothes, functional accessories, and props like a quality yoga mat, to have a good class. After consulting some of my closest yoga instructors and students, one thing is clear — we’re all fans of Lululemon both on and off the mat.
I asked my yoga network which Lululemon clothes and accessories they are reaching for, and so many seasonal must-haves are included. From year-round staples like the Align Leggings to breezy Wunder Train shorts, these Lululemon picks are recommended by everyday people who have found them comfortable, supportive, and of course, stylish.
Don’t miss out on these yoga student and instructor-backed Lululemon finds — prices start at $49.

“Teaching in the sun, I need all the UV protection I can get,” says Staacy Cannon, a Yin yoga instructor and founder of Laia Retreats. Her go-to? The Fast and Free High-Rise Short.
“I love the silicone grippers on the hem that keep them in place, plus the five pockets are perfect for stashing my key, phone, and sunscreen,” she shares.
Lululemon Scuba Oversized Half-Zip

Whether she’s layering up for a yoga class, walking her dog, or jumping on a client Zoom meeting, holistic career coach, yoga student, and Reiki master Lynn Mull is reaching for this “soft” oversized half-zip.
“It keeps me feeling polished and comfortable, and as a tall girl, the length cannot be beaten,” she says. Made with a cotton-blend fleece material, this jacket is a lightweight layer you can wear all spring and summer.
Lululemon Energy Bra

With plenty of warm weather on the way, you may want to wear fewer layers without feeling too exposed. The brand’s Energy Bra fits the bill for Summer Rothwell, owner of Yoga Under the Palms.
“This bra offers the extra support I need for Vinyasa yoga,” Rothwell says. “Nothing slips out when I move through challenging transitions or inversions.” She especially likes how she can wear it as a top in the spring and summer thanks to the longer length.
Lululemon Wunder Train High-Rise Short

Emily Oberriter, a yoga instructor in Oahu, Hawaii, has been wearing these comfy shorts for years — and especially likes to break them out during warmer seasons.
“I can do anything from Yin yoga to marathon training in them,” she says, calling the shorts the “perfect combination” of soft yet sweat-resistant. “And they haven’t pilled in years, even after consistent wear.”
Ebb to Street Cropped Racerback Tank

Hot yoga classes are designed to make you sweat, and Nicole Braun, a yoga instructor in Philadelphia, wears this “cute” and “supportive” racerback tank top while teaching and taking high-temperature classes.
“I like it because it dries quickly after class,” she says, adding that the breathable material doesn’t stick to her skin. “I always feel confident while wearing it!”
Lululemon Align Pant High-Rise

“I wear Lululemon almost every day,” says Katie Kreidle, yoga instructor and founder of BodyWorship. “One of my favorite products is the Align Leggings, which are incredibly breathable, soft, and flexible—perfect for any activity, from yoga and running to rock climbing.”
The Align Leggings are a PEOPLE favorite, too — our testers didn’t find a single con.
Lululemon Like a Cloud Longline Bra

For Kerri McQuiggan, a yoga student in San Diego, the Like a Cloud Longline Bra is “a staple item that everyone should have in their closets.”
As someone with a small chest, “the bra comes with molded foam cups that are lightweight and malleable for a supportive fit,” she says, adding that she typically wears it as a top for workouts or beneath a fitted jacket while lounging. “It’s the most comfortable bra I have ever worn, and I have it in multiple colors.”
Snag it in seven pretty hues, including pink, navy, and white.
Lululemon Slouchy Sling Bag

“I love this slouchy sling bag as a yoga instructor and busy mom who’s on the go,” says Zoe Stone, a yoga instructor in Oahu, Hawaii. “It’s versatile both in and out of the studio and has plenty of space for all I need, including my water bottle, notebook, essential oils, baby snacks, and diaper-changing essentials.”
Lululemon Bend This V and Racer Bra

“There’s something about the Bend This V and Racer Bra that feels like poetry in motion — soft, sculpted, and effortless,” says Aubrey Nadalie, yoga instructor and Kundalini practitioner. She says the “light and airy design” make it a top choice for warmer months. “I love how it blends function with a little spice, offering a second-skin feel while still making a statement.”
Lululemon Define Cropped Jacket Nulu
lululemon
Just like Kate Middleton, yoga student and content creator Niki Victoria is embracing cropped jackets this spring, such as the Lululemon Define jacket. “The fabric is pleasant on the skin, and it’s nice and lightweight for the new season,” she says, adding that the jacket is made with sweat-wicking material and has a buttery-soft feel. “I wear it with a vest over top for outdoor runs during transition weather or just as is while running errands.”
Bonus: It has two functional side pockets with zippers to store your essentials.
Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag
lululemon
This list wouldn’t feel complete without the Everywhere Belt Bag — it’s my personal favorite Lululemon product that I’ve been carrying for years. After returning from eight total flights in two weeks, I can confirm that this bag is as functional as it is stylish. With an adjustable strap and a hands-free design, it keeps all of your essentials like cell phones, passports, and wallets organized and accessible. I refuse to travel without it.
